Adam Steiner
Adam is a principal in real estate development and acquisitions for a privately held real estate firm. Though Doug and Adam spent some time together during their years at Queen’s University, it was working side-by-side at BMO Capital Markets where their friendship became strongest. Doug and Adam also enjoyed spending time at nearby cottages in Georgian Bay. Adam is a Board Member and Treasurer of the Douglas Wright Foundation.
Dr. Alexandra Pennal
Alex is a Staff Physician in the Section of Dermatology, Department of Paediatrics at The Hospital for Sick Children and an Assistant Professor of Paediatrics at the University of Toronto. Alex and Doug were friends since childhood. They grew up around the corner from each other and attended Whitney Public School and Queen’s University together.
Andrew Thompson
Andrew is an associate at the law firm of Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP, where his practice focuses primarily on mergers and acquisitions. Andrew and Doug were kindergarten classmates at Whitney Public School in Toronto. Best of friends ever since, they have played hockey together, and lived together as students in Kingston and London. Andrew is a Board Member and Secretary of the Douglas Wright Foundation.
Darren Campbell
Darren is a Director at BMO Capital Markets in London, England, selling Canadian Interest Rate products to European Investors. Darren and Doug first met as teammates on the Leaside Kings in 1993. They went on to be classmates in high school and university, close colleagues at BMO, and great friends for nearly two decades.
Jamie Wright
Jamie is an Investment Analyst at a Global Mutual Fund company. Doug’s younger brother, Jamie shared a love for sport and outdoor activities with Doug. When Doug purchased his Georgian Bay cottage, Jamie was the first to lend a hand with renovations. Jamie will always remember the time he spent visiting Doug in Australia, the two of them travelling the entire east coast from Melbourne to the Great Barrier Reef. Jamie is a Board Member and President of the Douglas Wright Foundation.
Katie Wright
Katie manages City Programs at the Toronto charity Moorelands Community Services. Siblings separated by only a year, Doug and Katie were attached at the hip, attending the same schools, playing on the same teams, and travelling together. Katie and Doug were also both passionate about the great outdoors, with "Doug's cottage" becoming a winter resting point during their many cross country ski trips together.
Michael McIsaac
Michael is a Partner and National Leader of BDO Law LLP. He is responsible for leading all of BDO Law's offices throughout Canada, across each of its multi-disciplinary practice areas.
He is a devoted husband and father, a 3 time Ironman finisher, passionate cyclist and long time supporter of the Douglas Wright Foundation.
On August 22, 2015, as part of an initiative called "Crossing for a Cause", Michael swam across Lake Ontario (53km) in support of the Douglas Wright Foundation. "Crossing for a Cause" raised over $155,000 for the Douglas Wright Foundation.
Rob Polci
Rob is an insurance advisor with First York Insurance Agency in Toronto. Rob and Doug spent their first 15 years of school together. Their long friendship consisted of numerous seasons as teammates, many extremely competitive racquet sport matches, and regular weekend nights in the Polci family basement with good friends.
